About: Web Design
We don't just design websites; we create online businesses. Here at CWL Media we listen to our clients and incorporate their ideas into everything we do. We spend time, with you, discussing what it is exactly that our clients want and resolve to create a website for them that fits this specification.
We also go one step further; rather than simply designing a nice looking site with all the blurb copied word-for-word from our clients and handing it over to them, we think about the future, by building for longevity and offering on-going care and support - which you don't always get with the larger agencies. You want to be able to use your site effectively, and if you're a for-profit business, you'll want to see increased revenue from your new website, so we aim to make sure that happens.
We make websites that are simple to understand and easy to use. There's no point in having an all singing-all dancing website if nobody can navigate around it and get away from the homepage! That's why we incorporate something we call 'usability mapping' into the layouts of all websites we create. We believe users should be able to get to any page, from any page on a site, in 3 clicks or less - and then back again. This sounds fairly obvious, but you'd be surprised how many times this is overlooked!
Ahead of the game
CWL Media keeps up with the pace of evolving web design technologies by always having the latest software. By using 'new' practices such as using HTML5 and cross-browser video players, our clients' sites are some of the 'freshest' sites around. This means their sites will 'last longer' without the need for any major updates or redesigns to comply with new web standards. It also means the sites are more likely to rank higher in search engines, which can only mean more traffic! We even include search engine optimisation practices as standard with any project we undertake.
We are known for our attention to detail and for ensuring all our clients' wants and needs are catered for. We will even do all we can to help when those inevitable niggling little problems arise from time to time. We believe that if you're going to do something, you've got to do it right, so we make sure each job is done properly and to the best of our ability - Always.
We're friendly, personable and will always offer honest, impartial, professional and no-obligation advice to anyone we meet with. We take care of our clients and make sure they are happy. We know the web can be one giant headache, so we do our best to ease that headache by offering these web design services to you!
An Engaging Experience
So we mentioned 'usability mapping' earlier, what's that?
Basically, it's our own term for designing a positive user experience. Before creating anything, we take the time to understand the user's and our client's needs, taking both into consideration when mapping out how the site navigation is designed and how the reading of all site content and user engagement works.
We know that if a website is intuitive enough, a user has a positive experience in navigating and reading your site's content, they are then much more likely to feel positive about you as an individual (or business) and are likely to engage further in what you're offering.
Worth The Trip
Finally, one of the most important aspects of creating a new website is content. We work with our clients to devise a content strategy; this means we'll help you define what content goes where, on which pages, how the user is likely to respond to that, and how that can translate into sales or memberships. Essentially, we help you create a plan to make sure your site is worth the time your users spend visiting it. This effectively ties into our 'usability mapping' strategy.
